Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has instructed the preparation of projects aimed at constructing new schools to cater to the residents of the Tayy area, located north of Kadhimiya. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the educational infrastructure in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office released a statement following a meeting between Al-Sudani and a delegation representing the people of the Tayy area. During the meeting, Al-Sudani was briefed on the key needs and appeals from the local population, focusing on the deficiencies in services and the urgent requirements necessary for improving the living and service conditions in the area. A particular concern highlighted was the shortage of school buildings, which has led to issues such as double and triple shifts.

In response to these concerns, the Prime Minister directed that projects for new schools be developed under the Iraq Development Fund. Additionally, he called for a review of the healthcare services in the area, emphasizing the need to evaluate the availability of health centers and identify the requirements for infrastructure improvements. This directive aims to benefit not only the people of the Tayy area but also the residents of Kadhimiya city, its suburbs, and associated areas.
