New York:Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi’s recent meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump has set clear directions for the future relationship between Baghdad and Washington.

According to Iraqi News Agency, government spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi stated that the meeting in New York highlighted a vision centered on economic and investment partnerships, as well as completing sovereign requirements aligned with state decisions and institutions.

The Prime Minister emphasized the Iraqi government’s commitment to transforming relations with the United States into sustainable opportunities, particularly in the areas of energy, investment, and development, grounded in mutual respect and common interests.

During the meeting, Al-Zaidi reiterated the government’s determination to unify security decisions, ensure weapons are confined to state control, and fulfill sovereignty requirements as outlined in the Constitution.
