Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid extended his congratulations to the newly elected Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei. In his message, President Rashid expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the leadership and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, hoping for the Supreme Leader’s success in his new role.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Rashid also conveyed his condolences on the passing of the former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and other Iranian leaders and citizens. He expressed Iraq’s solidarity with the Iranian people during this period of mourning and expressed hope for a future marked by the cessation of hostilities and the promotion of dialogue.

President Rashid further emphasized Iraq’s commitment to supporting regional and international efforts to end conflicts and reduce tensions. He reiterated Iraq’s dedication to joint actions aimed at enhancing security, peace, and stability throughout the region.
