Karbala: President Nizar Amedi said on Wednesday that enhancing services in the holy province of Karbala, developing its infrastructure and improving its service facilities represent a responsibility and a priority.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the president made these remarks during a visit to Karbala, a city with significant religious, national, and humanitarian importance to Iraqis. “We were honored today to visit the holy province of Karbala, this blessed city that holds a special and profound place in the hearts of Iraqis,” Amedi stated in a post on the X platform.
During his visit, President Amedi reviewed the conditions and listened to the needs and aspirations of the citizens of Karbala. He also toured several service and production institutions to gain first-hand insights into the efforts being made to serve the province and its residents.
He emphasized that Karbala’s status as a welcoming city, attracting millions of visitors annually from Iraq and abroad, underscores the importance of enhancing its services and infrastructure. President Amedi expressed gratitude to the people of Karbala for their hospitality and acknowledged the hard work of those serving in the city’s institutions.
