President Amedi Offers Condolences on the Passing of Norway’s King Harald V

Baghdad: President Nizar Amedi offered his condolences on Friday on the death of King Harald V of Norway, recalling his support for peace and dialogue.

According to Iraqi News Agency, President Amedi expressed his sorrow in a statement, saying, “We received with deep sorrow the news of the death of King Harald V of Norway, who dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country and people and contributed to establishing the values of peace, coexistence, and human solidarity.”

“On this sad occasion, I extend my sincere condolences to the Royal Family, the leadership and government of the Kingdom of Norway, and its friendly people, asking God Almighty to grant them patience,” he added.

“The Kingdom of Norway is known for its responsible stances on international and humanitarian issues, its contributions to supporting peace and dialogue, and its backing of efforts aimed at protecting human rights and promoting development and cooperation among peoples-stances that we appreciate and respect,” he continued.
