Baghdad: President Nizar Amedi emphasized on Sunday the importance of continuing efforts to address outstanding issues and achieve results that meet the aspirations of the citizens.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office stated in a press release that “President Nizar Amedi received the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid al-Ghazi, today at the Peace Palace in Baghdad. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the country’s general situation and a number of priority issues.”

“The President stressed the importance of continuing efforts to address outstanding issues and supporting steps that will achieve tangible results that meet the aspirations of the citizens,” according to the statement.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers briefed the President on the most prominent issues and procedures currently underway, emphasizing the commitment to improving performance and fulfilling assigned tasks in a way that serves the public interest.
