Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi emphasized the importance of continued coordination among various formations and forces to enhance the protection of citizens and maintain stability.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office stated in a press release that President Amidi received Lieutenant General Omar Saleh, commander of the 70th Brigade, a Peshmerga formation, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad. The meeting focused on current security issues and developments, with President Amidi highlighting the necessity of developing the capabilities of the Peshmerga forces and raising their level of readiness.
The statement further noted President Amidi’s praise for the Peshmerga forces’ role in performing their national duties. Lieutenant General Omar Saleh provided an overview of the most prominent tasks and the current situation of the 70th Brigade, affirming the continuation of work and coordination to serve security and stability.
