President of Iraq Honors Martyrs’ Sacrifices in Baghdad Meeting


Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, affirmed that the sacrifices of the martyrs will remain present in the memory of Iraqis. President Amidi emphasized the lasting impact of these sacrifices as he received the family of Brigadier General Hisham al-Salmani at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, following the general’s martyrdom while on duty.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President expressed pride in Brigadier General Hisham al-Salmani’s dedication to his national duty. He reiterated that the memories of the martyrs will persist in the hearts of Iraqis and emphasized the importance of continuous efforts to protect the homeland. The President also highlighted the need to confront terrorism and crime, pursue those responsible for targeting Iraq’s citizens, and ensure they face justice.



The President assured that the state is committed to upholding the rights of the martyrs’ families by providing necessary care in recognition of the sacrifices made for Iraq’s security and the safety of its citizens. The President’s dedication to this cause was evident in his commitment to supporting and standing by the families of those who have served the nation.
