Baghdad: President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed with former Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi the preparations for the success of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a presidential statement indicated that President Rashid received Abdul Mahdi today, Tuesday. During the meeting, they discussed the latest political and economic developments in the country and emphasized the importance of concerted efforts by all parties to protect the gains achieved in various fields.

The ongoing preparations for the success of the upcoming parliamentary elections were also discussed.
