Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, has emphasized the urgency of forming a new government promptly, while adhering to constitutional deadlines. This call was made during a meeting with the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Farhad al-Atroushi, at Baghdad Palace on Tuesday, where they discussed the upcoming constitutional requirements.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the presidential statement underlined the President’s insistence on accelerating the government formation process to ensure the smooth operation of state institutions, strengthen political stability, and meet citizens’ aspirations. The President highlighted the necessity of cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative branches to serve the supreme national interest and support the country’s democratic process.

In response, al-Atroushi expressed Parliament’s dedication to fulfilling its constitutional duties. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among national forces to complete the necessary requirements and solidify political stability.
