According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's Media Office highlighted the significance of this occasion, marking the fortieth anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, his companions, and his family. The cities are witnessing a massive public revival, celebrating the historical importance of this event. As the number of pilgrims traveling to Karbala increases, both civil and security services, along with popular volunteer activities, are working tirelessly to provide necessary services and ensure the smooth arrival of millions of pilgrims. This showcases national generosity and adherence to the principles of the Prophet's Household, reflecting the deep-rooted traditions of the Iraqi people.
Al-Sudani urged citizens to ignore negative rumors that undermine the positive aspects of the pilgrimage. He assured that all state agencies are in a state of high alert, with a commitment to providing services and performing duties under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister, the Supreme Committee for Million-Man Pilgrimage, and relevant authorities. This coordination aims to prevent any service delays or political competition.
Al-Sudani reiterated that the solidarity for the success of the Arbaeen pilgrimage is a source of inspiration from the lessons of Hussein and the historical significance of Karbala.
