Baghdad: Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, has highlighted the importance of maintaining strong combat morale within the Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) while promoting the values of heroism and discipline. During a field visit to the CTS headquarters, he emphasized the continued focus on the physical fitness of its fighters.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's Media Office released a statement detailing al-Zaidi's visit, which aimed to assess the combat and administrative readiness of the Counter-Terrorism Service. The visit also served to address the Service's needs and requirements for enhancing its capabilities.

The statement noted that al-Zaidi began his visit with a tour of an exhibition that showcased the Service's weapons, equipment, and military supplies. During this tour, he was briefed on the latest systems and equipment currently in use, gaining insights into their capabilities and effectiveness in executing combat duties and special operations.

In his address, Prime Minister al-Zaidi commended the commanders and fighters of the Counter-Terrorism Service for their heroic contributions. He stressed that the members of the CTS have consistently been symbols of honor and sacrifice, shaping the image of the new Iraq through their bravery and commitment. Their efforts, he noted, have provided a powerful lesson in loyalty and devotion to the nation and played a crucial role in defeating terrorism.
