New York:Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met with the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Samoei, and his delegation on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in various fields. The possibility of establishing a direct air route between Baghdad and Nairobi to bolster trade, investment, and tourism exchanges was also considered. Efforts to increase Iraq’s presence in the African common market and expand cooperation with African countries were discussed, alongside the potential opening of a Kenyan Embassy in Baghdad.

Prime Minister Al-Zaidi highlighted the significance of learning from Kenya’s experience in agriculture and water resources management. He expressed interest in developing economic and investment cooperation, leveraging Kenya’s partnerships with other countries and international markets.

Kenyan President William Samoei extended an invitation to Prime Minister Al-Zaidi to visit Kenya. He emphasized the importance of strengthening joint efforts to advance bilateral relations in a way that benefits both nations and their peoples.
