Baghdad: The Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, affirmed on Sunday the need to fulfill all requirements for the government's success in its internal and external tasks and to support its efforts in combating corruption. The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with the head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi."

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting discussed general developments in the political and economic spheres, emphasizing the need to fulfill all requirements for the government's success in its internal and external tasks and to support its efforts in combating corruption.

The statement underlined the importance of concerted efforts by all political and national forces to support government work, based on the ministerial program, and to contribute to launching service and development projects, in addition to supporting the government's efforts to strengthen the country's security and preserve its sovereignty.
