Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi affirmed on Tuesday that the government will hold its upcoming sessions in the provinces, indicating that it will closely examine the work being done there to address various issues.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a press release that “Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi met today, Tuesday, with the head of the Al-Jamahir parliamentary bloc, Badr Mahmoud Fahal al-Jubouri, and members of the bloc.” The meeting addressed the service and economic situation, the government’s efforts in combating corruption, and the progress of development plans.

“The Prime Minister emphasized that the government will hold its upcoming sessions in the provinces, starting with Diwaniyah, followed by Salah al-Din, to closely examine and address service-related issues and complete infrastructure projects, thereby strengthening stability and supporting the development process,” according to the statement.

The government has adopted, according to Prime Minister, a practical approach to developing the oil sector to increase production and diversify export sources, as well as adopting new methods of investment to develop infrastructure through the Development Fund in financing projects, in addition to launching the land distribution project (the million residential plots project) to address the housing crisis.
