Prime Minister Orders Financial Support for Health Ministry

Baghdad:Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi has instructed the allocation of necessary funds to the Ministry of Health to ensure the availability of medicines and medical supplies, particularly for cancer, heart disease, and chronic illnesses.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the directive was issued during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Al-Zaidi with senior officials from the Ministry of Health. The meeting was attended by Minister Abdul-Hussein Aziz Al-Mousawi and Adila Hammoud Hussein, a member of the Parliamentary Health Committee.

Discussions during the meeting focused on the current state of health services in hospitals and health centers and explored ways to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens. Strategies to address health-related needs and priorities were also deliberated.

The statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office highlighted the emphasis on securing drugs and supplies essential for cancer, heart disease, chronic illnesses, kidney care, and dialysis. This initiative aims to maintain continuous health services and meet the needs of patients.

Additionally, the Prime Minister called for the preparation of operational requirements for new hospitals, which are expected to be completed and inaugurated in the coming months.
