Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed the government’s commitment to serving the Christian community at home and abroad. His media office stated in a press release: “Al-Sudani met today, Monday, with the Babylon parliamentary bloc and members of the movement’s political bureau. During the meeting, they discussed various issues in the country, reviewed political developments and updates, and addressed the efforts being made to fulfill constitutional obligations, primarily among them the election of the president and the formation of the new government.”
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of legislative cooperation among the blocs representing the Christian community within Parliament. He noted that this cooperation would greatly benefit all members of the community, both within Iraq and abroad.
For their part, members of the Babylon Movement delegation affirmed their commitment to supporting the work of the state and actively participated in legislation that bolsters the government’s efforts in construction, reconstruction, and development.
