Baghdad: Tolstoy’s book “I Cannot Remain Silent,” published by Dar Al-Ma’mun for Translation and Publishing, has achieved significant sales after Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi showed interest in it during his visit to the publishing house’s pavilion at the opening of the 27th Baghdad International Book Fair.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s attention to the book has brought it into the spotlight, leading to increased interest and sales among the public. The book is a moral and philosophical work by Tolstoy, expressing his strong rejection of violence in all its forms. Tolstoy criticizes the concept of war, describing it as a “holocaust of nations,” initiated by governments without any real justification, where countless innocent lives are lost.
