Putin and Iranian President Discuss Conflict Amid Regional Tensions


Moscow: In their second phone call this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian engaged in discussions regarding the ongoing military escalation in the region. The Kremlin revealed details of the conversation, emphasizing the importance of de-escalation amidst the conflict involving Iran and the US-Israeli alliance.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Kremlin’s statement highlighted Putin’s stance on the necessity of reducing tensions in the area. He reiterated Russia’s call for a swift de-escalation of hostilities, underscoring his principled position on the matter. This conversation marks a continuation of diplomatic efforts to address the current crisis.



In response, Iranian President Pezeshkian expressed gratitude towards Russia for its support.
