Qatar Condemns Attack on Kurdistan Region’s Prime Minister’s Office


Doha: The State of Qatar has denounced the assault on the office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, along with the residence of the head of the Security and Intelligence Agency in Erbil Governorate. Qatar views these incidents as blatant violations of the sovereignty of both the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and as flagrant breaches of international law.



According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement emphasizing the necessity of shielding the region from the repercussions of such unwarranted attacks. The Ministry called for a commitment to dialogue and diplomacy, urging all parties to de-escalate tensions to foster regional and international security and stability.



The statement also highlighted Qatar’s unwavering solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, affirming its support for any measures undertaken by them to safeguard their sovereignty and security.
