Basra: The Iraqi Republic Railways Company has successfully completed more than seventy train journeys since Sunday, July 26, 2026, facilitating the transportation of a significant number of pilgrims.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company reported a total of 38 round trips between Basra and Karbala, alongside 33 trips between Baghdad and Karbala. These journeys have collectively transported over 38,000 pilgrims to the holy city of Karbala.

The company has announced its ongoing efforts in transporting pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to Karbala. Additionally, the railway service is also conducting return trips for the pilgrims, ensuring a comprehensive transportation service during this period.
