Diwaniyah: Residents of informal settlements in the Al-Jattah neighborhood in the center of Diwaniyah province protested against the municipality’s removal of their encroachments on state land, refusing to allow the demolition of their makeshift homes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the protesters demanded that authorities reconsider the removal of their homes, stating they have no other shelter. The Diwaniyah municipality has launched a campaign to remove encroachments in various areas of the city center.
