Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Thursday, the recapture of Sudzha, the largest city in Kursk Province, which Ukrainian forces had overrun since their surprise cross-border attack in August 2024.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that it had recaptured three towns in the Kursk region and was close to fully liberating Kursk. Russian authorities also confirmed their readiness to discuss the US peace initiative with Ukraine.
