Basra: The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, accompanied by the Russian Consul, visited the Imam Ali Mosque in the Zubair district of Basra Governorate. The visit included a meeting with Mustafa al-Husseini, the Inspector of Antiquities and Heritage of Basra, to discuss the city’s heritage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Kutrashev also toured several of Basra’s heritage sites, including the Imam Ali Mosque. During his visit, he expressed gratitude to Iraq and its people for their hospitality and warm welcome throughout his tenure in the country.
