Baghdad: The Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) announced on Wednesday the evacuation of 150 employees from the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the corporation stated, "A number of company employees were evacuated as part of safety and precautionary measures taken to protect workers in light of the security developments in the region."
Rosatom added that "the evacuation included approximately 150 employees working on the Bushehr nuclear project," emphasizing that "work at the plant continues according to established technical procedures."
The Bushehr plant, Iran's first nuclear power facility, is operated by Rosatom, which is also involved in the development of additional units at the site.
