Russian Drone Targets Train Carrying Boris Johnson and Merz’s Advisor


Volyn: The German website Der Spiegel reported that former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s chief advisor were evacuated from a train attacked by a Russian drone.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Johnson and Gnter Sautter, Chancellor Merz’s chief advisor, were traveling on a train targeted by a Russian drone in the Volyn region on the border between Poland and Ukraine. The report indicated that the two officials were in carriages that were not damaged. The train was also carrying members of the German parliament, diplomats, and academics returning from a security conference held in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.



All the officials, including Boris Johnson, were evacuated from the train, which resumed its journey to Poland after a delay of several hours.
