Odesa:Moscow The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that Russian armed forces have targeted a cargo ship transporting military supplies intended for Ukrainian forces to the port of Odesa.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry explained that Russian forces have continued to carry out drone strikes against naval vessels used to support the Ukrainian armed forces.
The statement from the Ministry specified that the targeted cargo ship was carrying military shipments intended for the Ukrainian armed forces. Furthermore, the Russian military is executing successive waves of concentrated attacks using drones and precision missiles against Ukrainian port infrastructure.
These ongoing bombardments aim to disrupt Ukraine’s maritime and riverine military transport capabilities, as well as to target fuel depots and storage facilities for military equipment. These facilities are used for military supplies loaded onto naval vessels or trucks within transport and logistics hubs.
Moscow’s strikes are part of efforts to sever military supply lines to the Ukrainian armed forces, particularly in the Black Sea coastal regions, which have been hotspots for the transport of Western-supplied weapons and military equipment.
