Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced a series of targeted attacks on Ukrainian military infrastructure, logistics centers, and power plants across several regions. The operation, carried out by Russian armed forces, focused on crippling key facilities that support the Ukrainian military.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that precision-guided ground weapons and long-range drones were deployed to strike significant targets, including the Dniprodzerzhynsk Metallurgical Plant ‘Kametstal’ and the Dnipro Metallurgical Plant in the Dnipropetrovsk region. These plants are noted as major suppliers of metal products to the Ukrainian army, and their targeting aims to disrupt the military-industrial supply chain.

The Ministry further detailed the attacks on logistics centers and power substations in the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions. These strikes are part of a broader campaign to undermine logistical capabilities and energy resources critical to the Ukrainian military’s operations.

The statement also highlighted specific attacks carried out on the evening of September 4. In the Kyiv region, two fuel storage and distribution sites near the Gostomel airfield were targeted, as well as the Svyatopetrovsky logistics center, which resulted in damage to facilities used for storing military equipment. Additionally, Russian air defense forces reportedly intercepted and shot down 53 Ukrainian drones overnight.

In the Odesa region, a logistics center in the town of Dashnoye was hit, along with a dry cargo ship in the port of Chornomorsk that was allegedly transporting weapons and military equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These actions indicate an intensification in the Russian military’s efforts to disrupt Ukraine’s supply routes and military capabilities.
