Samarra: Salah al-Din Governor Haitham al-Zahwan chaired an expanded meeting to discuss preparations for the pilgrimage to the shrine of the two Imams al-Askari in Samarra.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governorate stated in a press release that the Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, Omar al-Jarad, attended the meeting at the Samarra District Office. The meeting saw the participation of a representative of the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister’s Advisor, Mazhar Shaalan.
Also in attendance were the district governors of Samarra, Balad, and Dujail, alongside several directors and representatives from service departments. The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss and review the service, security, and organizational preparations for the pilgrimage to the shrine of the two Imams al-Askari.
The participants underscored the importance of intensifying efforts and enhancing coordination among the various concerned parties. This is to ensure the provision of optimal services for the pilgrims, facilitate the smooth flow of arrivals, and create a suitable environment for the pilgrimage’s success.
