Najaf: Security forces in Najaf arrested a butcher who was selling minced pork disguised as veal.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was made during a field operation aimed at monitoring unofficial roads in the rural and village areas of Najaf province. These routes are often used by individuals who violate official slaughter regulations by transporting meat through non-sanctioned channels.

The security source revealed that the suspect was apprehended while transporting a slaughtered wild boar. During the investigation, he confessed to selling the pork as minced meat to residents in the Maysan neighborhood. This area is one of the largest and most densely populated residential zones northeast of the Kufa district in Najaf.
