Sharjah: The "Sharjah Viewpoint" exhibition has begun. The 13th edition of the "Sharjah: A View" exhibition, organized by the Sharjah Art Foundation, opened today at the Photography Gallery and will run until November 29.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this 13th edition of the exhibition, dedicated to photography, features a collection of new artworks by six artists commissioned by the Sharjah Art Foundation. The works collectively explore the possibilities and ongoing evolution of documentary photography through a series of unique yet interconnected approaches.

The exhibition is curated by Sarah Al Muhairi and Osimodimen Ekori, assistant curators at the Foundation, and features the work of artists Louisa Dor, Latifa Al Bukhari, Satish Kumar, Adam Rohana, Gwanio Shu, and Mahidar Haile Selassie.

The concept of documentary photography expands in this edition through the artists' experiments with form, material, and presentation. Large prints, installations, and spatial interventions challenge the conventions of this art form, reimagining how images are engaged with and understood.
