Sheikh Al-Khazali Calls for Civility Amidst Political Differences


Baghdad: The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, emphasized the importance of maintaining civility in the face of political differences. He stated that such differences should not lead to insults and conflict.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Al-Khazali issued a statement reaffirming his commitment to unity and responsibility in addressing challenges. He urged the movement’s members and supporters to refrain from responding to insults with similar behavior. Instead, responses should be defensive and explanatory, reflecting morals and awareness. He warned that any actions or statements that contradict this directive would result in accountability both before God and within the organization.



Sheikh Al-Khazali also called upon his followers to prevent adversaries from exploiting their differences through media and social media platforms. He stressed that political disagreements should not become a source of discord, urging his supporters to use kind and purposeful language free from insults. He concluded by encouraging steadfastness on the righteous path, emphasizing that truth ultimately prevails.
