Baghdad: Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali, Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, affirmed on Friday that political differences should not become a source of mutual recrimination and conflict. Emphasizing the importance of unity and the need to confront challenges collectively, Al-Khazali addressed the movement’s cadres and supporters, urging them to refrain from engaging in retaliatory behavior against critics.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Al-Khazali stated, “Believing in the necessity of closing ranks and the importance of unity, and acting from a sense of responsibility to confront challenges and deny enemies any opportunity, I reiterate the directive I previously issued to our brothers and sisters-including the movement’s cadres, members, supporters, and loyalists-regarding the need to refrain from responding to those who disparage us or our Jihadi movement.” He stressed that any response should be purely defensive and clarifying, avoiding any reciprocal negativity.

Al-Khazali further urged his followers not to allow adversaries to capitalize on internal differences, particularly through media and social networking platforms. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a discourse characterized by constructive dialogue and truthfulness. He reminded his audience of the sacrifices made for their cause and encouraged them to uphold principles of patience and steadfastness in their approach, emphasizing that such values are aligned with divine approval and organizational accountability.
