Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, Head of the Supreme Islamic Council, engaged in discussions with Glenn Miles, the Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, addressing regional developments and current events in Iraq. The dialogue also focused on the progress in forming the remaining authorities and the coalition’s role in maintaining political stability.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hamoudi highlighted that the Framework powers’ extensive experience and political expertise enable them to uphold Iraq’s constitutional democratic path and decision-making independence. He articulated that the vision for Iraq is to construct a robust and stable nation where citizens lead dignified lives, aligning with the sacrifices made by the Iraqi people. The ongoing efforts are directed towards achieving this through a comprehensive reform agenda.
The Framework also reiterated the incoming government’s dedication to forging balanced international relations and bolstering shared interests with key global players. The statement underscored Iraq’s intention to remain neutral in regional tensions, positioning itself instead as a hub of stability, peace, and partnership.
