Jiangxi: Sixteen people have died after mudslides and landslides triggered by heavy rains struck Suichuan County in Jiangxi Province, eastern China.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the heavy rains over the past several days have caused a series of geological disasters in the county, leading to the evacuation of more than 18,000 residents. The affected region has been grappling with the aftermath of these natural calamities as rescue operations continue to prevent further loss of life and damage.
In a related incident, an avalanche caused a torrent of ice, rocks, and mud to surge down the Trishuli River in the border region between Nepal and China on August 26. This natural disaster resulted in the destruction of many towns and villages, alongside widespread damage to roads and infrastructure.
