Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi met with the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Iraq, Maher al-Tarawneh, at the headquarters of the head of Taqadum Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi. The meeting focused on regional issues and enhancing collaboration on mutual interests between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Speaker's office released a statement noting that the Jordanian Ambassador extended congratulations to al-Halbousi on fulfilling his constitutional obligations and his election as Speaker of Parliament. The Ambassador expressed his best wishes for al-Halbousi's success in his new role.

The discussions between the two leaders emphasized strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between Iraq and Jordan. They also addressed the current situation in the region, highlighting the significance of coordinated efforts on issues that affect both countries.
