Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi discussed strengthening parliamentary cooperation with the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Iraq, Clemens Smutner. His media office stated in a press release that “Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi received the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Iraq, Clemens Smutner.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement explained that “during the meeting, relations between Iraq and the European Union were discussed, as well as ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation in a manner that achieves common interests.”
