Baghdad: Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, condemned the repeated incursions by the occupying forces into Syrian territory, considering them a blatant violation of the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, and a flagrant breach of international law and the UN Charter.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Yamahi affirmed the Arab Parliament’s categorical rejection of these violations and escalatory practices, which constitute a direct threat to Arab national security. He warned of the serious repercussions of their continuation on the security and stability of the region, and the potential for dangerous escalation, expansion of tensions, and undermining of opportunities to achieve regional peace and security.

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament stressed that the continued Israeli occupation of Syrian territory represents a clear and explicit violation of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy. He reiterated the necessity of a complete withdrawal of the occupying forces from all occupied Syrian territories and adherence to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, which would contribute to preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic and maintaining security and stability in the region.
