Baghdad: The Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi laid a wreath at the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey. This act was part of al-Halbousi’s official visit to Turkey.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Halbousi arrived in Ankara yesterday following an invitation from the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The visit is seen as a gesture of diplomacy and respect between the two nations.
