Baghdad: The State Board of Antiquities and Heritage is making a significant contribution to the 27th Baghdad International Book Fair, showcasing an impressive collection of more than fifty titles focused on archaeology and heritage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Board’s Department of Studies and Research is actively participating with a cultural pavilion at the fair, highlighting a variety of publications covering fields such as archaeology, heritage, history, and culture. Fayed Sami Mohammed Hassan, the Director of the Publishing Department, emphasized that their participation is aimed at promoting the Board’s archaeological and heritage output and introducing a range of specialized scholarly publications to a wider audience.

The pavilion presents an array of books, studies, and journals that meticulously document Iraq’s rich history, civilization, and heritage. Noteworthy among these are the issues of the Sumer Journal, alongside publications from the Numismatics Journal and other specialized studies. Hassan observed that the pavilion has been attracting a considerable number of readers and researchers, indicating a growing interest in archaeological and heritage literature.

This initiative is part of the Board’s ongoing commitment to making its scientific and cultural contributions accessible to readers, researchers, and enthusiasts, thereby strengthening the presence of archaeological and heritage literature within the Iraqi cultural scene.
