Strait of Hormuz Sees Decrease in Ship Transits

Dubai: Shipping data released Wednesday showed that six cargo ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, compared to nine the previous day and an average of about 12 over ten days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these figures may change, as some ships typically switch off their transponders during transit. Preliminary data from Kpler at 02:00 GMT showed that five of the six ships entered the strait while one exited. The group included a Panamax-sized tanker and a medium-sized vessel.
