Sudanese Government Vows to Bolster Local Governance Role

Baghdad: The Sudanese government has reaffirmed its commitment to bolstering the role of local governments in executing their responsibilities. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani highlighted this commitment during a meeting with the Governor of Salah al-Din, Haitham Mahmoud al-Zahwan, where they discussed the province's overall situation and plans for service development and project implementation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement from al-Sudani's media office underscored the government's dedication to enhancing local governments' roles. This enhancement aims to enable local authorities to deliver services effectively, improve economic and developmental conditions, and elevate the standard of living for citizens.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the need for integration between federal government plans and the infrastructure projects of ministries, alongside the services and development initiatives carried out by local governments.
