Baghdad: A person was arrested in possession of crystal meth north of Hilla. The Martyr Salam Shanon checkpoint apprehended a suspect in the act of committing a crime. The suspect, born in 2000 and residing in Diwaniyah Governorate, works for the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities in Diwaniyah. He was found in possession of 250 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Colonel Ammar al-Shammari, Director of Media for the Babylon Police, reported that the suspect was also found to be in possession of narcotic pills and counterfeit foreign currency. The authorities are taking the necessary legal measures against the suspect to prepare for his referral to the competent authority.
