Baquba: A security force from Diyala Police arrested a suspect in an electronic extortion case north of Baquba, the provincial capital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source stated that after receiving a report via the 911 emergency response system regarding an extortion case involving a woman in Al-Khalis district, a well-planned ambush was set up. This operation resulted in the arrest of the suspect while he was attempting to receive money in exchange for not publishing personal photos belonging to the complainant.

The source added that after searching the suspect's phone, the photos in question were found. Legal procedures were initiated against him, and he was detained in accordance with Article 452 of the Penal Code, pursuant to a decision by the competent investigating judge.
