Baghdad: A suspect was arrested in Diyala for promoting counterfeit foreign currency. A joint security force arrested a suspect for circulating counterfeit foreign currency east of Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the suspect was apprehended during a security operation in the Dur Mandali area east of Baquba. During the operation, authorities seized 273 counterfeit $100 bills from the suspect. The operation is part of ongoing security efforts to combat the circulation of counterfeit currency and protect the national economy. Legal procedures have been initiated against the suspect.
