Suspect Arrested in Diyala Killings and Arms Trafficking Network Dismantled in Salah al-Din


Baghdad: The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency has announced the arrest of a suspect linked to multiple killings and forced displacements in the Diyala Governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the agency’s Falcons Intelligence Cell, operating in Diyala Governorate and in collaboration with security forces in the Kurdistan Region, specifically in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, successfully apprehended the suspect. The individual was wanted under Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law for participating in numerous killings and forced displacement activities in the region.



Furthermore, in an unrelated operation, the Organized Crime Directorate in Salah al-Din Governorate effectively dismantled an arms trafficking network. This operation led to the arrest of three suspects and the confiscation of a significant cache of weapons, as well as the vehicle used for their illegal activities.
