According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Police Command stated in a press release on Thursday that an incident occurred in the Al-Nashwa district resulting in the death of a person following a previous personal dispute between cousins. Security forces immediately moved to the scene.

The statement added that the security forces were able to arrest the suspect and seize the weapon used in the incident, a Kalashnikov rifle, noting that the necessary legal measures were being taken against him.
