Kirkuk: The College of Media in Kirkuk, in collaboration with the Student Activities Division (Cultural Unit), organized a Quran recitation competition. A number of the college’s students and staff participated in the event, which aimed to support talent and promote cultural activities and religious values within the university environment.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the competition witnessed strong participation among the contestants, who presented recitations characterized by high-quality performance, beautiful voices, and adherence to the rules of Tajweed. A specialized committee evaluated the entries based on precise criteria that included the accuracy of the recitation, vocal performance, and Tajweed rules.

Dr. Maad Assi Ali, Dean of the College of Media, emphasized that holding this competition aligns with the college’s commitment to supporting cultural activities and developing the talents of its students and staff. He pointed out the importance of such initiatives in strengthening religious and cultural values and creating a university environment that fosters talent and creativity.

At the conclusion of the competition, the winners and participants were honored and awarded certificates of appreciation and prizes in recognition of their participation and to encourage them to continue developing their talents and abilities.
