Karbala: The Governor of Karbala, Nassif al-Khattabi, announced the success of the security, service, and organizational plans for the blessed Mid-Sha’ban Visit. During a joint press conference with security leaders and the provincial council, he stated, “Karbala witnessed a massive influx of millions of pilgrims over the past two days, including Iraqis, Arabs, and foreigners. All necessary services were provided to them by the local government, the administration of the holy shrines, the Husseini processions, and the city’s residents.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governor added, “The security forces, including the army, police, and other branches and guest forces, successfully secured the event without any security breaches.” The significant coordination among various entities ensured the smooth conduct of the event, accommodating the large number of visitors who came to partake in the religious observance.

Furthermore, the governor expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the massive Visit and showcased Karbala in the best possible light. The collaboration between the local government, security forces, and the residents was pivotal in managing the challenges posed by the influx of pilgrims, ensuring a peaceful and organized environment for all participants.
