Baghdad, The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami Muhammad, received, at the ministry’s headquarters, the director of the Arab Monetary Fund, Abdul Rahman Al-Hamidi, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the ministry, they reviewed the most important economic and financial challenges facing the countries of the region, as well as the joint bilateral relations between Iraq and the Arab Monetary Fund, and pushed towards developing mutual cooperation in the field of finance and economy.

Mechanisms of joint cooperation were also discussed in the field of supporting financial and banking policies, building human capacities, and discussing Iraq’s steps to engage in the financial system among the Arab countries, in addition to reviewing the procedures and reforms that the Iraqi government is taking in the field of the banking and financial sector in a way that contributes to the promotion of economic development in Iraq.
